46 European Nights

i just typed one full length blog, and bah, its gone. darn precious internet time. anyway, i'll just try to type in brieeff what i did just now. yesterday i went up to the junfraujoch. it was beaautiful! but but but... cos me not ever seen snow, on the trip up there for a moment i thot ssnow was bllack! i was like what the heck? cos the whole mmountain was swarming with a indian tour group! yeah but it was nice, the weather was not perfet, a lil cloudy, misty , windy aand daamm blardee cold, but still got to see a lil of the glacier. and huskies are ccute! today i went to mt. pilatus. pronunced ass pee-lar-toos. weather was super warm sunny and nice. i sat there on the mountain ridge, ate mmy packet sandwich while watching the alps. great exxpereincce. fell asleep, took a nap just llying bacck and when i woke up. darn! my cheeks are toasted! got those sun glasses marks on. darn. didn't realise till i got to the toilet. anyway, thr truth behind all these nice sights, depression's starting to set in. feel lonely esp on those long train rides, and u just stare out into the unending landsscape of mountains fields and so on. once the tune of 500 miles came to mind. ¨if u miss the train i'm on, zou'll know that i am gone, yoû can heaar the whistle blow 500 miles¨ damm sad i tell ya. really. not been eating well ttoo. cos food is like so darn expensive in switz. maybe afteeer so many days here, i'm getting bored. tiime to move to my nexxt destintation. yeps aand that woulld be firenze, city of florence. heard lots abt the notorious gypsies, so here i am, gonna face them facce to face. yeps. my trains tomorrow nite. okie dokes. till the next updatte.

HOLA HOLA! guess what i did today! I went PARAGLIDING! and it was WOAH GOOD SHIT i tell ya. but ah well.. got a lil airsick on the way back down, puked a lil. so next time in switz if u ever go there, and u feel drops of water, might not be rain, it might just be paraglider puke. just got cheated on the internet machine. punched in 2fracs = SGD2.60 and then i found out that the keyboard was funny. the button keys dont correspond to what appears on the screen. bah! forget abt it. tomorrow i'll be headed to luzern, abt an hour's trainride away. Next up and coming highlight in my adventure, gonna vist jungfraujoch, and for all u ignorant ones, its pronunced yong-frau-yock. thatäs the tallest peak in whole europe. Gonna see mt.Palitus too. the mountians are all like located outside of luzern, so its gonna be like a day excursion and come back at night kinda thingy. then the other days will be left exploring the lil town of Luzern, go see some sights and tourist-sy stuff. u really meet all kinds of people when u travel. there's this guy in my room, all he does is sit in bed all day and watch his darn portable TV and then smile at himself. then there's this blacky guy, wonder if heäs here to tour, he's like spending his time, jogging and stuff. ah well. then there's this red indian leaves early in the morning, comes back late late late at nite, so the only time i see him is when i'm roused from my sleep. then i met this american couple, they came to zurich cos its the cheapest air tix from states, to their horror' its the most expensive town to tour in. then there's this american black lady, met her at the top of a church tower, and we talked abt her adventures in other parts of the world. there was this itallian model who lost money in the casino, no money to buy benzine*itallian accent*, or petrol, wanted to let me have all his gior gior armani suits in exchange for bezine. wassup wif him man!? oh and there was this very pleasant american gal i met last night, met her at the bus stop, so we walked back to the hostel together. lotsa peeps u meet along the way, reminds me of BIG FISH this show that was screened sometime back, but i got to watch it only on the plane to Zurich. oh oh... and the sun here is wierd. i wonder is it the same sun that shines in spore. this sun works super hard. it gets dark only after 2200. then i got up to pee today morning at 3, and its already starting to dawn. oh man! okie.. all for now. till next time!

Bye Bye Singapore! Hello Zurich! internet charges are expensive. 1franc for 5 mins. there's even a countdown timer beside my screen, and sheesh, ya know what? the keyboard layout is different plus temperatures really freezing, and my finger's kinda numb. Alright, touch down yesterday. got myself a transport pass that allows me to board any form of public transport for free. Zipped around town, its beautiful i tell ya. Gotta see a couple of landmarks too. It was sunday, and back home its shopping day, but HELL!!?? everything's close. had such a hard time looking for lunch. couldnt be botehred abt dinner. just slept thru it. Temperature's really cold. the plane was landing and they've got the reports, it was like 5degrees! hahahha! and i'm only prepared for 15deg++ ok all for now. next blog in a couplê of days. its expensive!

how's it feel man? counting down by the hour to my flight. Gee.. this past couple of weeks really zipped past that quickly, gotta meet up with lotsa frens, kinda like an end to one chapter in my life when I ORD and get outta the damm army. And ya know what, before i can even um... accept the fact that i'm outta army, hey hey I'm off to Europe! Past 2 days were like rushing to zap all my impt doccumments, get my impt contact nummbers ready, check that all my debit/atm cards are good, then going to cammp, hunting down the enciks to sign my clearnace, to clear me off all responsibility so i can ORD. (not easy to find them i tell ya) then there was my ORD dinner with my Basic Military Training mates, peeps whom i started out my life in armmy with. Somehow my fren got this wierd idea, that its a nice thing to end with where we start, nostalgic kinda thing??? HAHA! then went clubbing, which turned out to be the greatest FLOP. cos the music was crap. alright the next time there;s gonna be a "club with johnnie and frens" i promise to do more hommework as to what's playing. crawled home at 3, slept and work up then pack pack pack, panic panic panic, pack pack pack... haha! now everything's in my bag. and the mess in my room, looks like some ancient roman ruin. lil itsy bitsy titsy things sprawled everywhere. so just hovering and scanning the area like a hawk see if i've left annything impt hidden under a my pilllow or something. There's really not much worrying left to do, so here i am, a blog before i leave, remember the blog couple of times earlier, mentioned abt the roller coaster, well, this is exacctly how it feels. HAHA! okie okie.. all for now. hopefully i get to blog once in every city I go. gonna miss u all, but adventure beckons!

Oh man.. today's day 0, tomorrow will be day 1 and what the hecck am i doing at 0300? just ccrawled back from a club actually. My "ORD PARTY!" turned out kinda disappointing. wrong kinda music, wrong kinda crowd, but nevertheless, i still feel the quiet happiness and joy inside me. ORD today and leaving tomorrow u say its kinda fast, but actually yeah, that's the whole point.. kind of like silently trying to make a point that NS sucks big timee! and i want to run away from it as far as i can in the quickest possible time. ok brain aint really functionning. blog another day. but for now.. i still must say :ORD lo! haha

Finally got a printer working at home. can start to print out my hostel booking confirmmations and stuff. Its now the final leg of preps, writing down all the info that i've gathered onto the notebook i'm bringing there, getting my emergency numbers correct. kinda paranoid eh? its just to show mama that i've done enuff preps should any mishap occur. alright just a brief highlight on my first destination. Zurich and Lucerne, both very beautiful cities in Switzerland. In Zurich I'd be snooping around town, checking out the city sights, and yes! i'm gonna make a short exccursion to Brunnen to do paragliding! WOOOOO HOOOOOOO! then afterwhich i'd take a lil train ride to Lucerne. Gonna check out Lake Lucerne, see the monumennt of the dying lion, walk across the chapel bridge, and should be making my way to Mt Palitus for a day excursion. they've got this slide that runs thru the mountains for couple of hundred metres. hahaha! gonna take the cable cars and their steep trams up the mountains then maybe take a snow sledgge ride down! this is sooooooo excciting! hahahha! gonna spend a total of 8 nights in switz, somehow my heart tells me its not enuff, but when will it ever be enuff? there's just so much to see and do. okie dokes... tata till my next blog

countdown's really startin to heat up. In exactly a week's time at this hour i'd be already be on a plane to Zurich. Made some minute adjustments to my itenary. After more background studying on the places i'd visit, realised there's much to see in Florence and Rome, so will be extending my stay there in expense of the small town of Heidelberg. Germany's itenary is also changed.. decided that what's Germany without seeing Berlin, so gonna make my way up all the way north east to see berlin, back down to frankfurt to see that big city. Yepz. Thats all for now.

Over the weekend over family dinner, i just realised that in just less then 2 weeks i'm gonna be off on my adventure! Like I always tell people that life is full of lil roller coaster rides, and that's exactly how I feel rite now. Imagine that you're kid, staring up at this huge roller coaster, you see the loops and how you're gonna zip thru it at breakneck speeds. In your heart there's this tugging, this mischeivous sense of adventure that tells you.. come on whatya waiting for? but on the other hand, ya logical mind asks you: are you sure u wanna do it? you're gonna sooo regret it. yeah... i've been doing much reading up, surfing and what not, and the more i read, the more i hear and the more (pics) i see, the more i can't wait to leave! but hey! you're gonna all alone for 36+ nites. you're gonna feel depressed. what if things aint what u expecct? What ya gonna do when you're all alone. the nearest kin is like um... in UK? that's what my fear tells me. So its all a mix of emotions. its like a can of cola that you sstart shakin. and everything inside starts to fizzle and bubble and there's no way u can control the reacction. You just grapple with all the feelings. As the efferverscence continue, i picture myself at the airport checkin in, walking past the 2 mr. policemann, thru the autommated glass doors waving my lastt good byes and when you're thru with the immigaration, and you sit in the waiting lobby and give mummy one last call before I turn off my HP, yeah that's the point where the cola can pops and the foam fizzes out. With heavy steps drag myself onto the plane, strap myself in, feel the plane taxi off, and hear the rumbling of wheels against the tarmac the engines hit fullspeed for takeoff. There am i.. burdened with uncertaint, and at the bacck of my head, i could just imaginne hearing mr.mischivous-sense-of-adventure giggling away cheekily over its victory. I'd be beyong the point of no return by now. yeah... this is how i immagine it to be. kinda dramatic i must say. I'll tell you guys abt when i've really flown. see if the feeling matches what i wrote here. yepz.

Anyway update on my adventure:
gonna change a few destinations. decided to see Berlin. after all, what's Germany if i didn't go see Berlin? cutting short my stay in the other towns of germany and austria in exchange for a ccouple more days in Italy. nothing's finalied. will update my first blog with all the schedules and stuff as soon as i get to it.
